Our partner, Affordable Community Living (ACL) also extends support through the CalHome Mortgage Assistance Program, which helps first-time homebuyers take the step into homeownership that once felt out of reach.
For many families, this program is not just financial support. It is the key that unlocks stability, opportunity, and a long-term future within a welcoming community.
ACL received a grant of $1,831,500 to provide down payment assistance grants that cover up to 40% of a home’s purchase price for those that qualify.
The contract was executed on October 19, 2022, and the program continues to be active.
So far, and with the partnership of Santiago Communities, 34 families have received a combined total of $1,682,980 in support.
An additional $148,520 remains available, and the program is approved through July 18, 2026.
For these families, this assistance created the possibility of a stable home, a predictable monthly payment, and the chance to invest in their future.
